- Windows or Mac? Choose an edition made for your device.
- Operating system version: on Windows, go to Settings → System → About. On a Mac, choose Apple menu → About This Mac.
- Windows 11 requirements: run Microsoft’s PC Health Check app. See How to check Windows system requirements.
- 32-bit or 64-bit: see How to check whether Windows is 32-bit or 64-bit.
- Edition: make sure the edition you buy matches the one you want to activate, for example Home or Pro.
