- Back up your files before installing or upgrading anything.
- Install Windows if you are setting up a new PC or doing a clean install. If Windows is already installed, skip this step.
- Activate with the product key from your order email. See How to activate Windows.
- Run Windows Update to get the latest security fixes and drivers.
